hair dye (we had from previous years) $0 straw (a pool noodle - we had in the shed) $0 slushie fabric (shelf liner) $3.50 slushie cup (plastic table cloth) $1 logo (printed on printer & colored with pencils) $0 clothing underneath (white long sleeve shirt, white tights, and light blue shorts-everything from her closet) $0 Other items we used that we had around the house : stappler, coat hanger, packing tape, and 2-sided velcro Instructions: My husband used a coat hanger for the top and bottom of the cup. Then we use velcro to attach table cloth. Afterwards, my husband stappled and taped the excess on the inside top and bottom. We then added elastic X 2 from front to back to allow the cup to sit on her shoulders. The shelf liner was stappled to look crumbled. The slushie logo was cut into a circle and we put packing tape over it, since it was raining here this morning. |
Once a year, at Halloween, my children and I enjoy dressing up in costume to attend events such as themed parties and trick-or-treating. The custom of wearing costumes has been practiced for hundreds of years and is still practiced all over the world today. Many stores offer expensive costumes that are easy to replicate at home. With a little imagination and a few basic craft skills, creating a costume to impress at Halloween is easy. Here is my daughter's costume she created for less than $10.00

Product Design Guides One of the most noticeable new features will be informational overlays, that will appear by default when opening a new Studio project. Toggle the information off and you have the same look, feel and design area you have always had. Handy information is provided about how best to design for proper coverage, borders, wraps, edges and more that is specific to that particular project. In the Ornamental Keepsake shown above for instance, information includes where to put the main focus depending on whether the mug is for a left hander or a right hander so they will see the image while they are holding or drinking from the mug. Help and Support Help is just a click away with the new Support button found everywhere in Studio. The big, green, easy-to-see “Need Help?” button, shown here on the left, accesses Studio’s Support Center and other resources. Group Copy and Paste
The Studio enhancement we’ve all been waiting for will go live during the first week of October. Easily duplicate a group of items on your page, or copy a group from one page to another. A wonderful tool for making a page full of cupcake toppers, bottle cap designs or other repetitive design tasks; this enhancement allows customers to place groups of images onto a new page without replacing the page contents as happens when using the “import page” function. We hope you're excited about all these wonderful new products and enhancements. Please let us know what else you're hoping to see because we're always looking for the next way to make Studio and Heritage Makers products even better! Every fall, Heritage Makers holds an annual Consultant convention called Reunion. HM Club members always look forward to the announcements following Reunion because they include lots of fun new products, new Studio enhancements and new art. Let’s take a look at what was announced this year! Fresh Fonts Four new fonts have been added to Studio. You’ll see them starting in early October “Bohemian Typewriter” is what’s called a grunge or eroded font. It looks old and worn, like faded typewriter text. Grunged fonts are very hip, but can also be used for items with an antique look. It’s a wonderful font for family history or anything fun, funky or out of the box. Use its full upper and lower case for display type or running text. With its upper-case-style letters and bold presentation, “Pharmacy” is a fabulous font for headings, book titles and subway art. It does have an upper and lower case, but both cases are the same height and the lower case set just offers a few letters in alternate styles. This tall display font looks wonderful paired with standard fonts as accompanying body text. Use new font “Patch” for anything fun, young or playful. Once again, this font is designed for display text rather than book-length text, but it does work for invitations, quotes or smaller paragraphs. Available in upper and lower case, Patch brings a warm and light-hearted look to your Studio font sets. Display font “Rustler” has a casual, western, boots-and-jeans flavor. Use for headings, book titles or wanted posters! Lower case letters are the same size as the upper case and are designed to offer a second upper-case variation.
